(SiS 900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adaptor)

but when I connect it it says that I have a network cable unplugged but I am capable of Dial-up connection...

What hardware do I need?

What cable do I need and where do I plug it into (telephone line?!?!)

and is the hardware above really an ethernet card?

I am aiming for a 10 or 100Mbps Connection for 1 computer please help.....

  1. First off, do you have a router and/or modem?

If you're just setting up one computer, then I would guess you just have the modem, so for that you would connect a regular telephone cable from the telephone jack to the modem, and an RJ45 Ethernet cable from the modem to your computer (SiS 900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adaptor).

If you have a router, then the setup would be the same except that the Ethernet cable would plug from your modem to your router, and a second Ethernet cable would go from the router to your computer (SiS 900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adaptor).

    Hope that helps! Good luck!
