How do I setup a wireless network connection between two laptops to share files without a LAN cable or router.

You could use bluetooth to connect both computers together but there are limits to what you could do. I would recommend getting a wireless router and connecting the laptops to the same router. After they are connected, right click the files you want to be shared, click on the sharing tab, and make sure "Share this folder on the network" is checked.
