How do I share home movies on the internet?

I have relatives out of state that I would like to show home movies of our daughter. I have a youtube account but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get the DVD to save as a video file on my computer. Any help? Thanks in advance!

Save it as flv format.

there r hundreds of free video converting software on internet. download one that can con vert  .vob file to .flv file.  videos on youtubs are flash videos( .flv) then upload ur video.
