How do I ship something to a different country

Question

Someone bought something online from me on Ebay. They live in Africa. And I live in Hawaii, in the United States. What do I write on the box and how do I ship this item to the person. They said to ship it using USPS Express Mail INT'L. What stamps or postage and box do I need to ship this item to this person. I am shipping a Brand New Ipod to this person. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. They would also like a tracking number when I ship it. How would I do that? I give best answer!

Ask them for their address as it appears on any other parcel they receive. Also I would get it insured with it being this pricey of an item.  Wish USPS you don't have a way of tracking things to know if they received it or not and when.  I would go the extra mile and send it by UPS.  You will need a nice size box and plenty of bubble wrap and packing popcorn for this.  You don't want it to be damaged.  UPS can help you with all of this.  I hope this helps.

Fedex offer tracking numbers but are more expensive.  I am not sure all postal services have a tracking option.

I never post overseas due to the high rate of fraud, and limited paypal protection.  Paypal are there for their own profit, and to just give you the image of a safe easy way to transfer money.

Make very sure the money is in your account before you send anything.

make sure any paypal email confirming the payment is actually in your paypal account.

Just write their full name and the address they give you and post at the post office.  If there is no tracking number, tell them your country doesnt offer it.

Also, make sure its in a hard box, and not a bag.  Lots of padding all around it.  at least twice the size of what you are sending.  The postal service is rough with packages.  (I had a solid fibreglass replica gun smashed)
