How do I show my father I'm responsible?

I want to be responsible so I can care for a pet!

  Well you've probably already told him how responsible you are, so now, you just have to stop begging so you don't look to anctious. And clean your room and take responsiblity for things that arent youre responsibility. Good Luck!

I would start by doing things without being told, things you know you should be doing anyways.  Like keeping room clean, putting dishes away, doing your best in school, having all homework done without being told to do it.  These types of things show responsibility to a parent.  Also before my son was able to get any pet he had to read 3 books and then write a paper for me about what it requires. That way I knew he understood the great time commitment and responsibility of having a pet.  He was also responsible for earning enough to feed the pet.  He did this by taking out the trash, raking leaves, clearing the table after meals.

its very hard to prove your responsible. maybe you can start by doing extra things around the house with out being asked, or ask him if he needs help when he is doing things, like folding washing, cooking dinner etc.

but when you ask him about it and he says no, dont crack it, just say ok dad and dont fight with him, try having a good convosation about it and explain how strongly you want a pet, and show he you can be grown up about things.

Start by being responsible for your personal space in your home.  Do your chores, because that's being a part of your family.  Treat your possessions well, and don't play the "But I'm too tired" card.  You will show your readiness for taking care of another creature when you prove that you can take care of yourself without a lot of nagging and prodding.
