How do I sign up for GED classes?

The college here doesnt have GED classes. I found out that the vocational school here in the district has them though. I have the number to call at the vocational school for the classes. Should I have my parents call the number and have them find out info?

Will they have me come in and take a pre-test probably to see what subjects im weak in? Then if i'm weak in any, they will have me take the classes? How long is the pre-test and is that the only test I will have to take to get into the classes?

I'm 16 years old and I turn 17 in two months. I dropped out last fall because of social anxiety. I was only in 9th grade, and I dont want to be 17 in the 9th grade!

  1. Your parent should call the number to the vocational school and find out information on GED classes because you are underage. Make sure your parent schedules an appointment! At your appointment you will probably take a placement test (1-2 hours) and fill out paper(s) to request transcripts from your last high school. If it looks as if the GED is a better & faster path they will sign you up for classes that match your placement test scores. Once you start your GED classes… You study, complete your hours, take the pre-test, and finally you take your GED. People say that anyone can pass the GED, but I don’t think it’s true. I’m in college and I looked at the test questions for the GED and they do require thinking. Heh.

    GOOD LUCK!
