I actually am not sure about this. So I got some info and some quotes from a couple books and I know I need to site it somehow but I am not sure if I have to write a bibliography, a works cited page, say somehow where it's from in my actual paper or do more than one of them. If I do have to say something about where I got my information in my actual paper, then can you give me an example of how this is supposed to look. I have been told that a works cited page is for citing information that you used but did not quote specifically and a bibliography is for information that you quoted. Is this correct? Please answer as many of my questions as possible. Thank you

  1. you write a work cited page at the end of the paper.  the work cited page is just like a bibliography but only for the resources that were actually used in your paper.  For the quoting, you have to use the mla format after the quote to site who/where its from, its usually the page number or author's name, since they can reference that page/name to the resources in your work cited page.  the best place to find the format and examples would be the website below.

  2. If you are quoting directly you can use a footnote, endnote, or a parenthetical reference within the body of the paper.  If you look on line you can find several different styles - APA, MLA - of citations.  Choose one and stick with it or ask you teacher.  A note on wikipedia, though, many teachers do not like wikipedia as a source of information so you may want to check with your teacher or find the information from another source.

You will need a bibliography of a works cited page because you need to give full information but again, there are several styles.

See if this website is helpful (it uses MLA formatting):

    Or APA style

    http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resour...

  3. google "citation machine"

    select your format

    fill in your information and

it will do it for you
