I got up and it was really wobbly. It is really hard to stay up and im not quite sure how to. I lean back and have my knees bent but the only way I can stay up for more than 20 seconds is to go outside the wake. please help

  1. Find the widest slalom ski you can find, and try to stay in the wake. Go back and forth if you can. My first ski was about 8" wide, called the "Wide track". I wouldn't move to a thin ski until I feel comforable on a wide ski.

Make sure you bend both knees, and since you're new, more weight on your back foot should help.

This just takes time. Also, it will help if you're a comfortable 2-skiier.

  2. i recently learned to Salom ski also and it was really hard at first but all i did for a day was ride on 2 skis untill i got dropping one ski 100% down but once your riding Salom balance is all that you need to focus on having your knees bent is great but you need to lean side-side to get in and out of the wake but im no pro at it and thats how i learned.

    ^^ good luck^^

  3. technique wise heres my advice

do not have the same weigh on both feet

put 80% weight on ur back foot have ur back straight and knees bent of course then let ur arms extend pulling you staright and go with the flow

  4. the thing with most sports like skiing is to keep the board(s) on edge. if you are on flat skis they will feel very unstable. practice tipping the skis on edge by pressuring that side of the skis (depending on the direction you want to go).

  5. when you get up you want to let the boat pull you up dont stand up right away. then you want your front leg almost straight and your back straight. (remember your back foot is your direction foot). and also you have to keep your arms straight.

if none of this helps try switching your feet and make your front foot ur back foot and your back foot your front foot. this makes a huge difference.

    GOOD LUCK
