I have trouble sleeping... I'm 15 years old I don't do drugs, drink caffeine, etc.

I always end up sleeping at like 11:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m.

I exercise alot and I thought being tired would put me out real easily

Plus when I get into bed early I can't sleep.

what should i do?????

If you mention pills or something, no DRUG BASED pills.

I'm growing very tall and I don't want anything to stunt my growth

  1. i went through the same thing you should just not worry about it before you go to bed and if your not tired in the morning than dont worry

  2. There are lots of things in peoples diets that keep them up at night.

Tea and soft drinks are primary caffeine sources.  They can last for hours in your system

But the cure that worked for me was to go to bed at exactly the same time every night and getting my system to expect to go to sleep at that time.  Once your body is on that type of time schedule. sleeping is easy.

And while exercise is great, you don't want to have exercised within several hours of bed time.  You need your metabolism to be in its down phase.  So do your workouts in the morning.

  3. Actually, if you exercise before bed that will actually stimulate and awaken your body, not tire you out. If you exercise during the day your body will peak and then crash when bedtime comes around.

    P.S, Try counting sheep :P

  4. I would love too know!

  5. when you go to bed, do you find yourself thinking about all kinds of things and you can't seem to shut it off ? I have always had that problem and the best solution I've found is to read a good book. some sort of adventure novel that lets your brain shut off from all the c**p that keeps you awake.

something else that will help, and you should only have to do this for a short while is take Melatonin. this is a substance that is natural, our bodies produce melatonin, but sometimes not enough at the right times. check out Melatonin online.

anyway, read until you get drowsy, put down your book, turn out the light and work on a mantra or an uncomplicated fantasy until you conk out.

this has worked for me for many years, it should work for you too.

    Good luck    peaceful dreams

  6. for ONE night you stay up really LATE! like 3-4 am.  then wake up early.  The next day you will fall asleep at the time you want very easily and  i found that it stuck with me for the rest of the days.  just how i did it.
