25^(3x-1) = 125^(x+2)

It says not to use a calculator.

I know I've done a problem like this before, but I've totally forgotten how. For some reason, I'm thinking I'm supposed to use log? I'd love some help =)

  1. 25^(3x-1) = 125^(x+2)

    5^2^(3x-1)=5^3^(x+2)

    2(3x-1)=3(x+2)

    6x-2=3x+6

    3x=8

    x=2 and 2/3
