I've been to the dentist and the problem is that my Wisdom tooth has grown sideways into the tooth next to it and made a massive whole, which although covered by the wisdom tooth still kicks up a massive fuss and decides to cause pain to all the teeth in the area.

I have been referred to a hospital to take out the tooth but I'm on a waiting list that could last months.

Been taking ibuprofen (nurofen express) to kill the pain which works a bit. Rinsing with cold water/ce/mouthwash/salt water which works very, very temporarily.

I can't live like this! I'm starting a new job in 2 weeks and i need to get rid of this pain so i can concentrate!

Thanks for your help!

  1. You stated that you are taking ibuprofen. Are you actually taking it prescription strength? Take 4 advil or motrin (800 mgs). That will be the same as getting prescription from the Dr., cheaper tho. I swear by it and it should relieve the pain enough for you to function normally.

  2. you could try oil of clove, it wont do magic , but it may give you some relief, most health food shops sell it , and some chemists, lets hope you get your appointment soon xx
