I have been smoking for a while now but I just recently quit and now I'm not feeling dependent on marijuana. Now, I'm feeling the symptoms. It would be helpful if anyone who has gone through this to share your experience. I want to know everything I can about quitting. I just want to feel like my myself again. Thanks

  1. Very simply, you need to do things that raise dopamine levels in your body, to keep you occupied.

People are cool with being bored when their high because they get the "reward" feeling from the dopamine releases.

Its so easy to fix this that it shouldnt even be said.

Find soemthing fun to do. Thats it, you wont even think about pot. Anytime I wanna cut back, I find something fun to do. Don't sit around thinking about getting high, its pointless. Just occupy yourself, its as easy as that. Then after a few days, you won't even feel the need to do either.

Pot addiction is real, but very, very minor. Its a bordom complex rather than a chemical dependancy like most would lead you to believe, just replace it with something just as interesting and by the time that new thing becomes stale, pot will be long gone from your mind.

  2. I tried to quit for awhile and I guess you could say I experienced "withdrawl" symptoms. Mostly, I just couldn't sleep well, I lost my appetite, and had a few blue days.

It's nothing you can't handle; just keep yourself occupied.

  3. dude I'm sorry, but ive quit cold turkey twice for jobs and if you cant handle it, its just your problem bro. weed is easy to quit, but then again i quit cigs with no problem too. weed withdrawal is like, just wanting it bad. anything else you may experience is psychological.

and yeah, keep occupied, cause i only think about weed when im bored. or smoking it :/

  4. Marijuana is the safest drug you could possibly do. The withdrawal effects of marijuana are so minor that caffeine withdrawal pisses in the drinking fountain of marijuana withdrawal. I've experienced it (marijuana withdrawal) so many times that I would just say it equals about a day of the blues and major munchies, and at the time I was addicted to cigarettes so I'd smoke more cigs. But since I quit cigs, and quit the old sticky ick so many times I'd say its like spending a dollar on the pick six lottery and losing. You'll get over it as fast as it takes my ***** to suffice when looking at my grandma. Thats why I smoke the icky ick for pain, depression, and anything. God put it here for a reason, why the **** does our gov't make it illegal?

  5. Just live exactly the same way.  It is in your mind just stay busy.  I never had "withdraw" persay,  maybe pissed my pot guy din't come thru.  Anyway, good luck

  6. omg it was horrible i had teh shakes and diahrea and vomiting and i went into a coma omg omgomg

jk - i had a harder time withdrawing from chocolate muffins

  7. The other folks are right, just stay occupied. I've quit Marijuana several times over the past few years for any number of reasons and never experienced any physical side affect. I did feel edgy for a couple of days afterwards, but that goes away quickly too. If any symptom persists for longer than a couple of weeks you may need to see a doctor, because it probably isnt the marijuana causing it.

  8. hey ,

i was dumb enough to quit cold turkey after 16 years of puffin.

there is def. withdrawals for marijuana, maybe not for everyone but people that do have them know, it could take anywhere from 10 days to a few months pending on how much how long you smoked and in some cases body fat. i am not a dr but did massive research from all over. some things you can have are dizziness, nausea, anxiety, sweats, loss of appetite and a general flu like feeling. if you are really bugging out (anxiety , nerves,) a dr could give you a script for some meds or naturally you can try chamomile tea, no caffeine or sugar, try eating healthy veggies fruits and positive outlooks, it does get better

google marijuana withdrawal and you will find more info, herbal supplements can help alot, relaxants

  9. time is the only thing that can help you.  i had smoked almost every day for 8 years and recently quit to get a good job. it sucked but after a few weeks you feel better and dont crave it as much.

  10. well if youre quitting for good just try not to think about it. if you are quitting for a certain period of time just push through and try not to think about it till you can do it again.
