I know it won't look professional, but I'm pretty sure green on green will look alot better than white white oxidation on green. I have the exact match spray paint and I want to know the steps to get it to look as best as possible. Thank you and best answer gets 10 points!!

  1. An acrylic paint conditioner will remove the oxidation and bring your paint back to a even mirror like shine.

Weather and wax will monk up a paint job fast.

polish won't help and painting over it is a costly way to repair something as common as oxidation.

Acrylic paint conditioners are new and light years beyond any wax or polish.

you will find a lot of people passing on the same bad information telling you to use cutting agents, wax and polish on acrylic paint.

That is the source of the problem "mass ignorance" and a education deficit that seems to affect most people who haven't learned that wax is as out dated as the enamel paint it was originally used on.

Clean your car with some soap and water and apply an acrylic paint conditioner (APC) to it. It will leave a mirror like shine and you will never have a paint oxidation problem again.

  2. Get with a paint shop to make sure you aren't dealing with clear-coat coming off rather than oxidation. Oxidized paint can usually be treated with a cleaning compound.

  3. You can't without some surface prep. What you are seeing is probably the clear coat coming off and not oxidation. Mask and sand the entire panel, prime, then paint.
