How do I start a REAL environmental program at my school?

My school is soo not eco-savvy. They spent the Million Dollar donation on computers and smart boards!! (I go to a private school). The high school has an Environmental Club, I think, but I'm not sure if they really do anything. The Middle School (Which is in the same building as the high school) Is doing nothing. I want to start a recycling program and have a club where we can plant stuff and do fun environmental things. I mean for Earth day, all we did was get these packets of (non recycled!) paper about animals and everyone either shoved them in their locker, or threw them out. Oh! And we got these stupid bands that say "Wild about earth day". Puh-lease.

What should I do? Btw, I;m on Student Council, so I could bring in up on our next meeting.

recycle  items that bring in income...it seem to work also items that don&#039;t but 1st push items that do...money  ..be safe

Yeah, bring it up in the meeting.

Or you could go talk to the principal or someone about getting an application to start a club.

Get a signature from as many students as you can, then go to someone in charge. Remember to get lots of signatures :)
