How do I start a book club? ?

am new to my town and would like to start a local book club? any ideas?

you get a book, then you invite people over!

pick out a popular book, make a flyer...and go from there!

oh and if there's a local library...you should meet there...make a schedule like idk every wednesdays or thursday or ask ur "club" when their free...to come

1) determine what type of book club you want to start - nonfiction, biography... it will help to attract interested members

2) put up signs with tear-offs at local coffee houses, libraries, churches, stores, etc.

3) pick your books - start off with 2-3, and then have the group pick the rest.  Make sure the books are readily, and cheaply available at Costco, Walmart or the library

4) put your schedule online (try to meet no more than once a month - gives people a chance to read the book)
