How do I start a defensive driving school and what do I need to know about starting a business?

I've had an entrepreneur spirit for a while and I think I know what I want to do now. I want to start a defensive driving school on Saturdays. After that is established, I would start a behind-the-wheel class. I already know how to market the business. I think I need to start by going to the DMV and getting information and getting certified. What else do I need to know about this business and about running a small business?

Make sure you have enough insurance coverage in case of  accidents etc. And maybe get yourself a good lawyer to handle any law suits that might be filed against you and your school. Good Luck with your new business.
