I need some money to try out for my best friends cheerleading team. I was thinking about walking dogs for people in my neighborhood. There are many people with dogs in my neighborhood. keep in mind that Im only 13.

How much should I charge per walk?

how do I get the word out in my neighborhood?

How far should I walk each dog?

Is there anything else I need to know before starting a dog walking business?

please try to help!

  1. put signs up on telephone poles, bulletin boards and hand deliver to houses...especially if you know there is a dog living there.  Talk directly to the dog owner if they are home when you deliver your flyer.

I think you should charge five dollars for each walk or hour and total what that comes to per week.  It is important that you ask your parents permission to do this and you must be sure that the dogs you are walking are safe to be around and remember you are responsible for the dogs while in your care so be sure to understand how to keep them safe when walking them.

  2. I'd suggest putting signs around on supermarket notice boards. or in the paper.

If you are successful make sure that the dogs all get along before you take them out together
