How do I start a lemur sanctuary or something like a sanctuary?

I mean I looked on google about 5,000 times I could not find any things on how to start a sanctuary. I messaged wwf and other places but they didnt give me no answers. Can Someone help?

  1. Lemur's are awesome.

    The thing about animal sanctuaries is that they have to provide a habitat specialized for the animals in it. That's why there's more conservation areas than sanctuaries away from the animals's natural habitat.

    Creating a habitat requires specialized knowledge, and you might do well to work in a lemur sanctuary or conservation area to learn what to do.

    You would also have to have permission from the government to establish a conservancy or sanctuary, but may be able to start one with privately owned land. Financing the operation through government grants, donations, or public sales through tours would be needed.

    National and local laws may apply to importation of non-native species, but you may be able to get exceptions for an endangered species sanctuary if those laws exist.

    I think contacting people who work in lemur conservation is a good first step, as opposed to going to WWF or other such organizations.
