How do I start figure skating when there's no arena close to where I live?

I've scoured the net looking for places close to me,but I can't find anything with in driving distance.I've been saving all my money so(hopefully)I can start one day. I keep begging my parents,and I've reached a dead end.What doI do?

hopefully, you could find a good arena that is the NEAREST to ur place and try to have skating lessons there at least ONCE a week. Then on your non skating lessons days, you can practice roller blading or inline skating cause it really helps and its a lot like ice skating, only on wheels!!!! haha :) anyway, this would inprove your balance and speed, but i dont know about flexibility. Flexibility is important on a skater and you should flex your body everyday. Try some flexing exercises and exercise daily. Also, Try looking for videos or clips in youtube which tels you how to do certain skating moves, it helps a lot too!! So that for your lessons, your gonna be ready!!! Hope I helped and good luck♥
