  1. You should go to

hslda ( home school legal defense association) to find out the home school rules in your state, you can sign up with them if you want. Then decide how you want to pursue homeschooling with a support group? Then research to find some in the area. Maybe you want an online school ?there are some like time 4 learning and grace academy. Or maybe you want to just home school with you as the teacher, then just go online to home school catalogs like love2learn, or Cathy Duffy 100 hot picks and start looking for curriculum.

  2. try a google for a

cedar creek schoolhouse academy in you area theres a couple scattered over the us not sure if theres one in delaware

very easy to do 100 bucks to get him enrolled its christian based by the way if thats alright

you monitor your kids not a teacher you buy the books about 50-60 bucks per subject they come with a grading book/answer key for you and the work booklets for your kids do about 4 hours on the weekdays VERY EASY.

  3. Though the first posters response is one option, you don't need to join an umbrella school to homeschool in Delaware.

You simply take your child out of school and ask the board of ed for a form to declare yourselves homeschoolers.

You have to submit a new form every year, and an attendance record at the end of the school year.

IMO, applying an attendance sheet to homeschoolers is pretty useless; they attend our home every single day, every single day something educational happens, whether it's sitting down with our books and worksheets, or just watching Mythbusters (science) , cooking dinner together (home ec.), or going on a hike through the park (phys ed).

In Delaware, you don't need to have any teaching qualifications; you don't need to provide test scores or evaluations, and you don't need to use any specific curricula or umbrella school. It's a pretty liberal homeschooling state.
