Question:

How do I start off young and become an actress?

Okay, come on, right now, an agent? How am I supposed to get one at 13 years old? I want to be an actress really bad, and I have the talent, and I can sing too, which is good, I guess. My GPA has been a 4.0 my entire life (I'm not sure if that's gonna help...). Last night I had a really good dream about me in Prince Caspian (I was Susan, lol), and I became really famous, lol. I've always wanted to act. How do I get started?

Thanks.

  1. Of course you can get an agent at 13. There are specialist children's ones. You just need to shop around. I know a young performer's agency, and they have a strand for children (up to the age of 15). Plus, there are lots of parts for children, so it gives you a chance to build up your CV and become a bit more well-known before it comes more difficult.

Failing that, or if you don't feel ready for an agent - just get as much experience as possible in performing in general - amdram, choirs, orchestras (if you play an instrument), school plays. It all gives you confidence and you learn something new from each performance.

    Enjoy :)

  2. What everyone else said.

Take classes, and get involved in community plays. Go on youtube and perform your monologue and get people's true opinions of you. Film yourself to fix yourself and get peoples critiques and advice that way!

And GPA does help, it shows agencies you're a hard-worker and well-rounded. Plus it shows you can handle information and learning more about the business.

  3. if u rellie want 2 do acting u shuld start by taking sum classes 2 get sum experienced thats wat im guna do!

    hope this helped!

  4. Listen stop serching!

If GOD wants you to be an actress then acting will find its way to you!

what you need to do is pray and ask GOD if acting is the right thing for you!

Oh, and another thing that you need to know is that if you ask it will be givin to you pressed down shackin togher and runin over! This process might take a little bit but it will come!

  5. OK. First, you have to do a lot of acting, a lot of it, all the plays you can do. Then, you need a professional class or a few, Then you need your parents working hard to find you more experience and training and eventually a talent agent. So you get started in your school speech and drama stuff all of it.  Get in some plays,. Maybe you are not talented, but if you are plays will show it.

  6. You don't need an agent...you need experience. Start by auditioning for shows at your school or local community theatres. Take classes in acting, voice and dance...good luck!
