  1. You can start by dismantling the neighbors pets....but then they might lock you away.

Study hard and you may get accepted to one of the very few VET schools in the country.

  2. I don't know about that if your only 10. Why don't you just tell your mom how much you enjoyed it and ask if maybe you could come help at where she works during the summer? It's great that you've found something you're so passionate about at such a young age. Maybe there's some summer programs in your area with the SPCA or at a community college for kids. When I was your age I took a Saturday class at the community college for architecture. Maybe talk to the vet at your mom's office and ask what kind of things you could do to get more involved. Good Luck!!!!

  3. Ask the vet how he / she became a vet.

Basically, you need good marks in high school - especially biology (science).  Then apply to a university that offers degrees in vetrinarian studies - in Canada, the University of Guelph is famous for it.  University costs money, so now's a good time to start saving.

You can also visit the university, and borrow vet books from their library.  Look for the same books that are required reading for the courses you'll need to take.

  4. read everything you can get your hands on about animals.

you may want to talk to a vet about volunteering at there hospital
