How do I stop Yahoo search, when I want Google?

I like Google for searches, but if I'm on yahoo for a homepage, and have Google on the sidebar for searches, and try to do a search in Google...I can enter one letter and the cursor jumps over to the Yahoo search engine. I can't see how to make it stop doing that. Any ideas?

Go to google.com then go to your web link on your desktop. Right click it and go to properties. On the general tab you can click use current. That should add it as your web home.

get firefox then in the upper right hand corner then you can choose from a large variety of different search engines

go to your search options and make goole your prefered search engine

and if that doesnt work try this..

type in www. google.com
