How do I stop a program from automatically launching when windows starts?

Every time I turn my computer on and Windows XP pro starts, Acrobat Media Player opens and I get a window with some videos of the "Colbert Report", Jon Stewart etc. I like these videos but I dont want it to launch automatically. Plz help

  1. Go into your control panel, then go to the programs part/icon, and there will be a thing to click on there that says, "change start up programs". Go in that, find the program and click disable.

  2. First, check your startup folder in your start menu->all programs. If it's there, delete it.

    If that doesn't help, install winpatrol (http://www.winpatrol.com/) and it has a tab that lets you manage startup applications.

  3. Start -> Run, type msconfig -> Startup, just uncheck applications that you don't want to run during stratup
