Question:

How do I stop bad food temptations?

Okay.. I'm wanting to tone-up abit, but at the same time eat healthier.

Trouble is i give into temptation of chocolate and crisps toooo easy as it's a quick and easy snack and i'm not fussed on salad's and fruit.

Most nights I don't even cook a main meal, I just snack till I'm full which i know is bad..

How can I break this habit?

  1. Take a web look at "carbohydrate addiction" (it is real) but you can change by slowly substituting fruit and veggies. Can't do it overnight though!

    still crave it?

    do 10 jumping jacks

    still crave it?

    do 10 lunges (for each leg)

    still crave it?

    do 10 situps

    still crave it?

    do 10 push ups

    still crave it?

    drink another glass of water

    still crave it?

    then have it you have burnt alot of calories

    do this for every item of food

    eventually you will rather go with out then have to do all that work

    oh yeah and ice cold water actually burns calories

  7. when you look in that mighty cupboard- you know the ones with all the cakes, crisps, chocolate and biscuits. stop and think- Will it fill you up. the answer will always be no. Often i find an apple or some strawberries provides a good sugar source if i need something sweet. As well bananas are good because they contain alot of potassium witch will keep your hunger to a minimum.

    Make sure you have a good breakfast e.g weetabix and a banana because then you will be focussed for the day ahead. for lunch a sandwich and/or some salad, and then a piece of fruit-melon,grapes, strawberries, apples (whatever takes your fancy). For dinner a good meal. e.g stir fry chicken, or a roast with a few more veg than you usually have. Then you can have a little indulgence snak e.g a small chocolate bar OR a tube of smarties! anyway i hope this is helpful!

  8. You just have to learn to have better self control-- don't worry it will come-- a few years ago i would eat like 3 bowls of ice cream with a hard shell topping and it was soooooooooo good! But then I realized that I didn't want to feel this gross and it won't go away- i would get older and start gaining weight off of it so then I just told myself stop and developed the drive to not do it. You should try putting sticky notes on your fridge and in the Kitchen with encouraging things like do I want a sunday or kick as abs and a load of confidence? Haha i hope it works! good luck!

  10. Think of it in a different way, if you eat sweets and chocolate then your teeth will rot.

    I have a thing for pick n mix (teeth are suffering need to go to dentist next week)
