How do I stop being nervous about starting school?

I'll be in grade 8 this September and I am actually excited and counting down the days until school starts. But the problem is that I always get nervous on the first day of school. I don't know why because I have so many friends and it's a familiar place. My stomach tends to ache and I feel nauseous. How can I stop being nervous about it?

  1. you dont really...everyone feels that way at the start of a new year, so dont sweat it...and besides, if you know ppl, then you should have no prob getting a smooth start. you get nervous because you dont know what to expect at first.


  2. I used  to have that same problem, but it's normal. Listen to your favorite music in the morning, or maybe even wake up early and watch yourf avorite movie before school, it'll calm you down. Once you get to school you'll hang with your friends and feel alot better. Stay away from the caffiene in the morning, it wil lmake you more jittery. have a fruit smoothie instead. hope that helped!   =D  

  3. its totally natural to be nervous

    the first day of school is full of new and unexpected things

    so it's ok to feel nervous

    if you want to help your nerves, try talking to your self like a wise adult would

    just say things like

    "dont worry about your first day...things will be fine...all your friends will be there...you can't get in any trouble on the first day, it's impossible...."

    just stuff like that.

  4. It's normal to have fear of the unknown. A little nervousness keeps the excitement going!

  6. There's some stuff you can buy called 'rescue remedy', it's a natural Bach flower remedy, you put a couple of drops in a glass of water and drink it with your breakfast before you go to school. Having some the night before so that you get a good night's sleep would be good too.

  7. Do a little deep breathing. Make a list of all the things that will make you nervous, and then think about why you shouldn't be nervous about them like if you are nervous about finding your locker think "I know that it is number ### and I can always ask someone if I have a problem." best of luck and remember everyone gets nervous, I am nervous for school right now!  

  8. Everyone gets nervous sometimes and if it's only on the first day of school then that's fine. The first day can be kind of nerve-wrecking. You have new teachers and possibly new kids in class. But if you really feel nauseous try eating a lite snack and drink some water.

  9. Your going to see your friends and if you hated a teacher you wont have to see them again. There's nothing to worry about.
