How do I stop bird poo and birds from roosting my the guard rail of my boat?

Question

Sick of my boat getting fouled with bird ****. Is there any decent products out there to help the situation?

Any light would be appreciated!

I have a 48 Sport fish with my dingy on deck in Florida> It was a landing strip for all the birds in the marina> So i put fishing line from the bow to the bridge across the deck> They got the Idea real quick> So know I only have a fly over once in a >while> The owl they sat on it's head and pooed> Know they don't even come near my yacht> And you bird lovers none were hurt they see the line and can't land>

get a Garfield toy...and "perch" it on the rail...it werks like a scarecrow...

the fake owls work. i just got one last week because the stupid birds kept crapping on my deck. works great!

as mentioned, the fake owls do work, however they only protect an area in a small radius.  if you boat is large enough you may need a few of them.  eventually the birds will figure out that the owls are fake, then you will have to come up with something else to scare them away.

there is  a new product from japan ,it is a natural ingredient and the only green friendly out there.its the only product that is oil based and not petroleum based.the name is BIRD OFF.its a gel IN a tube and just about anybody can apply it.you apply it were ever they walk,roost,hang out.they get it on their feet  they try to clean them self's and get it in their mouth ,one of the ingredients is wasabi so it spices up their taste buds since pigeons have good memory they don't return!i work in a 100 unit building and have just came across it.it really works!!!!!!
