Question:

How do I stop blaming myself?

I recently broke up with my ex. Part of the reason was that he would not make me a priority and did not consider my feelings a lot of the time. The other part was that I would get mad at him when he did these things, and we would end up fighting. I tend to let things build until I get angry, and then a fight would start. His actions upset me though. How could I have handled this better? Also, how do I stop blaming myself for the demise of our relationship?

  1. Just give it some time

  2. Sounds like you need to work on a something... You...

The best way to be a good partner is to be the best YOU you can be.

This guy probably wasn't Mr. Right for you anyway. So take some time off from Dating and open a new chapter in your life where you are the priority. Do some Yoga, start Boating, Go to the Gym, go get a massage... Get to know yourself better and do some growing.

The best time to meet the right person is when you are the happiest.

  3. Spray some water on your face, then do the tango in your front yard in front of all your neighbors...  after that, you'll have so much else to worry about, you wont even think about it!

Remember to cool down with some Cinnamon-Raisin Delights!  Their sooo good!  Mmm Mmmmmmm!!!!!

  4. If your ex did not consider your feelings at any time during the relationship then I cannot see how you could have handled it any better other than to have made him your ex a lot sooner than you did!

Since he was the root cause of the damage in the relationship then he must carry the responsibility for the demise of it, not you.

When someone more compatible comes into your life you will probably share feelings and concerns long before they have the chance to build up. So please stop blaming yourself for something which clearly wasn't your fault. Best wishes. UK
