How do I stop crime in my Neigborhood?

Ok so basically my neigborhood has been expirencing several break ins and a huge amount of vadalism. Its so fustruating because we know who it is but NO PROOF. I know I know get a security camera but we just dont have that right now. I just wanna know what could be done in order to get them to move out or arrested. Idk, any suggestions?

Keep all yards and houses locked, keep valuable items inside, ask the police to step up patrols in your neighbourhood, they might agree, go for group walks at night when the crime is happening. if there are people able to see what is going on, the retards aren't as likely to do stupid things.  It sounds like bored teens, or drug addicts. if its drug addicts,harasss them until they move on.  Oh, and report all incidences, the cops don't like filling out forms any more than you do, they will act if there are a lot of reports

You could also consider getting a mouthy dog.  If a barking dog is in a yard, the neighbouring ones will be pretty safe as well.

Take classes and get a legal gun liscense.

yeah....get a camera like you said. Catch them on tape. Call the law.

Become a master of gadgetry and martial arts.  Then, put on a Bad A bat-like suit and fly around the city thwarting criminals.

Or...just start a neighborhood watch, or something pro-active like that.

well theres a few things you can do, get a gun is obvious but you could also hid a camera in a bush. you could get a high powered air rifle 1000fps+ will do. you could stay up all night and watch then call the police when you see him or get loud fireworks and say stop or ill shoot then shoot it off (an m80 works).
