How do I stop dreaming and get a good night's sleep

I have heard that the 'best' and deepest sleep occurs when you dream. I dream every night and I feel that my mind is constantly going and I always wake up feeling completely exhausted. What can I do?

  1. Do you drink fluids before, or anytime near you go to bed?  Drinking fluids often makes you dream because sometimes people tend to wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, and sometimes they don't, but have the urge to do so without even noticing it.     My explanation sucks a lot, but I didn't know how to put it in words...  I learned this is Psychology.
