  1. Try taking the antibiotic with some (shocking) food.

  2. Definitely tell you doctor that the antibiotics are making you throw up.  He or she may be able to prescribe you a different kind of antibiotics that won't upset your stomach.

  3. First, read the label or the paperwork that came with the pills to find out if there are any special instructions. Some medications say to take them with food and others say without. Also, some medications cannot be taken with certain types of food, like dairy or citrus.

Second, if you have read the label and it does not say anything, call a pharmacist and ask them if eating some food would help.

After you have tried all of this and are still having problems call your doctor as soon as possible. You may be allergic or they just do not work for you.

  4. I recommend that you take your meds with food or milk.  If this does not help speak to your doctor. this might be an allergic reactions to the meds and to continue to take them could be harmful.  When my mother took antiobiotics she was allergic and almost died so you have to be careful

  5. Try taking the meds with a bagel or some toast. If it still bothers you, call the Dr. to change your meds.

  6. There are no food restrictions with erythromycin. erythromycin does cause nausea / diarrhea and this is a normal reaction. I would suggest eating first (a meal...a few crackers don't cut it) and then taking the medication.

If you want to take a few tums thats ok and might help with the nausea.

  7. Yeah take it with food toast, a bagel something filling soemtimes they say with a glass of milk is fine. Read the bottle it should tell you.

  8. You are not alone, EES makes me puke horribly. There are other medications that are better in this regard that a may cost a little more. Just be frank with the prescribing doctor and ask for something that you might keep down easier.
