Question:

How do I stop getting discolored spots on clothes after washing?

I don't know why my clothes get spots on them after washing. I don't use bleach. For example, my green tshirt gets a yellow spot on it and a purple shirt gets a pink spot on it. What is going on here? I bought these tshirts at places like JC Penny and Kohl's, not the dollar store. Any suggestions?

  1. make sure you always wash the clothes by themsleves first. also do not pour laundry detergent directly on clothes that will always leave spots.

  2. add 1 cup of vinegar to your washload see if that helps.it will keep your clothes nice an d bright and looking like new.

  3. Its probably the pink or purple mixing with green.

    The dyes in most fabrics are cheap. The first couple of wash have to be done by them selfs to prevent bleeding.

    Pink is color that bleeds

  4. They are rust stains from your washing machine so you should probably get that looked into.

    However, to answer your question follow these helptips:

    You'll need some of these:

            * light-colored cloths

            * salt

            * white vinegar

            * undiluted lemon juice

            * Boiling water

            * big rubber band

            * cream of tartar

            * heat-proof bowl or bucket

  5. It has happened to me ....well I would say my teen age daughter ,when she poured the Downey on top of the clothes .I am pretty sure it was that . So if you don't have a container in you washer for the fabric softener make sure you diluted first and pour it in when the washer has water in it ,not after the rinse .Good luck!
