as Liam says - store in a bowl of water with ice - that would be just to keep it fresh until you serve it. Obviously you can't keep it like that for days.

get one of those salad spinners, wash and spin.

you can store the lettuce right in them

Don't listen to any of the above. DO NOT put vergetables and fruits into plastic bags in the fridge. The frost can speed up the witliting process. Leave the lettuce in a cool dark place in a glass bowl of water. At the end of the day you should eat lettuce the same day you buy it, it does not keep for more than two days at best.

I agree with Lulu. Get a Tupperware "bakkie" and put it ina frijj

Dip in iced water, or wrap in plastic and put in the fridge.
