  1. LOL! I hear ya!

You can either let time take care of it or lock your door (but you'll be awakened) or gently lead your child back to his/her own bed.

I'd go for the last option, as it shows the child that he/she should be in their own bed, that you make the decisions, and yet it's loving.

Expect to have to do this several nights in a row. Even when it stops for a while, it can start up again. Just go back to gently taking your child back to his own bed.

Also, make sure you get some cuddle time before bed. Reading a book to your child, even at 11 yrs old, is always a winner!

  2. lock your door?

  3. DUH, lock your bedroom door

  4. Lock your door. BRILLIANT!

  5. spank her

  6. My little bro is 9 and has that same problem.  Sorry, but I think it is ur fault.  You let him/her cling way too much.  Don't lock the door all of a sudden b/c some kid will get really scared.  Start telling him NO.

  7. First try taking the child to their bed and reading a bedtime story. Sit with him/her until they drop off to sleep. Failing this, be firm and say "no".

  8. an 11 year old is old enough to understand no.  you can lock your doors, but it would be best if you worked out something suitable for your child.  for example.  make a chart and chart every time, your child does not come into your room.  reward by doing something special with your child.  not expensive toys on a daily basis.  something else.  but you could do something even more special if the not coming into your bedroom continued for a month or a week, you decide.   or do some kind of take away every time your child comes in.

just don't spank or do anything like that.  why does your child say they are doing that?  is it bad dreams and why are they waking up? it might be something to see a doctor about.  these are just ideas.  watch that nanny program.  it helps and would give you more ideas.

be persistent about your no's or else they will know they may can get

away with whatever.  get to the root of why it is happening.  and good luck.  a lot of parents have this problem, so don't feel bad, ok?
