I have replaced the petcock and floatneedles. Someone said I need to adjust the float needles but the mannual says they have no adjustments. Is it possible the dealership gave me the wrong size needles? Is there someone in the bay area who specializes in old motorcycle carbs for cheap?

  1. SHE!! What time of the month is it ??

Or check your float level -Bend the tabs that touch the needle

You may even have a bad float-I dont rem but if they are brass they do get holes in them

  2. good luck man ive had this problem with my 79 cb750 for like the last 2 years and no one has been able to help me!

  3. Not the float needles, the FLOATS themselves, need to be adjusted.  They keep the fuel lower in the carburetor, when properly adjusted. or you may need to replace the floats (If they are leaky, they sink).
