I have 2 chihuahua's. Both unaltered. Female 1 yr. Male 7 months. The male whines when the bedroom door is closed and he wants out or in. He whines to get up on our bed even though he can jump up just fine. The female is potty trained and we let them out frequently or just leave the door opened to the fenced area.He whines constantly and doesn't stop. He also has been peeing on the beds in the house and sometimes even pooping. They sleep in our bed all night with no problems and go out first thing in the morning. He will whine to get back in the house so he can go p**p inside. If all the doors are closed, he goes in front of the door. They've never been in a crate. Is it too late to start? I need HELP!!!! Serious answers only please. How do I train him?

  1. Hmm, have you thought of TRAINING them?  Puppies do not come genetically trained, it is a process that you have to teach.  You said a lot with the statement; "They've never been in a crate".  The best method of housebreaking IS crate training.  The good news, it is never to late to get it right.  There is an excellent book (found at your library or book store) called The Art of Raising A Puppy by the Monks of New Skete.  This book is packed full of information (and how to advice); to help you train your pups to be great companions.  Don't waste another minute...get that book...and get going.  Good luck!

  2. If you are able to fix them I would recommend fixing them.

she could be coming into heat and it really will make them both do weird things like peeing where they never had.

but,, I would have to meet your dogs.

    good luck!
