How do I stop my friend from buying some ugly shoes?

My BFF is going to the mall this weekend with Vikky who is a very strange scene girls but she is my friend any ways though. But my BFF told me she was buying somthing that would suprise me and she wouldn't tell me what it was, so I got Vicky to cough it up (she knew) And it turns out she is going to buy some awful knee high converses! My BFF isn't really scene though even Vick agrees that she is a poser and doesnt want my preppy friend to spen $50 on those! But BFF is'nt easily persuaded so we are thinking or a plan to stop her.....or make her take them back.... but what can we do?

Its totally her choice. As a friend your not suppose to judge. If you cant accept her for who she is and her own personal style, then don't be friends with her.

show her some shoes that are way more cuter that she can't put down.make sure they are less then what she is getting that way she will save .if that doesn't work then tell her the truth that they are very ugly.she will get over it sooner or later.but make sure she doesn't see this .she will get mad that you r hiding things behind  her back.i agree that they are ugly.but the ones that go  to your ankle aren't so bad.

just put negative things about those shoes in her head like they make your feet hurt or guys don't dig girls who wear shoes like that. or better yet just give it to her like it is. if you really were her friend then you would just say "those shoes have got to go hun".

Uhm..Isnt that what bff's are for they're there to tell you that shirt isnt cute..that you have a massive booger or that your lips are chapped just tell her that you think those shoes are ugly..im pretty much 100% sure she will understand...if she gets mad then she isnt a bff.
