A message appears and tells us that there is a poor signal and most channels fragment even though we have freeview in the tv. what is the point of buying a digital hd ready tv when you cannot watch it.

  1. improve the tv signal.

what you are experiencing is a symptom of poor / insufficient signal on the aerial

so that means a new aerial or a better installed aerial. it may improve as your area switches off the analogue signal.. I think the digital signal will then be boosted.

a signal amplifier may make a marginal difference, i doubt it.

reduce the number fo devices connected on the same aeriel cable.. the fewer the better

mind you there's not a lot of point in buying an HD tv for freeview channles, I think there may be 2, possibly 4 HD channels max on freeview, unless the government releases more radio spectrum back to TV broadcasting

  2. Check the TV aerial

  3. Par of the course, I know it's very annoying if you live in an area with a weak signal. I have the same problem but I have connected a booster box to the back of the TV. It does help but the picture can still break up. Have you tried putting the tv off when this happens....it resets the tv default settings.

  4. That seems to be part of the digital process.

Sounds like the signal is too weak in your area, and you should not have bought a digital TV yet.

  5. Have you tried re tuning it. Was it Ok before?
