Question:

How do I stop my pet birds from fighting each other?

I have 3 birds. A male green cheek conure, a female cockatiel and a male Quaker. The Quaker is the youngest of the lot.

Both the green cheek conure and Quaker have been fighting a lot more lately. The green cheek usually starts the fights as he loves having play fights - that's in his nature. Our Quaker is a very shy bird but will defend himself if he needs to.

Even tho my green cheek conure starts the fights, he's the one generally the worst off.

Should I separate them? or try and intergrate another bird as a companion for my green cheek to leave the Quaker alone.

Please help. Any serious answers will be appreciated.

  1. I WOULD SAY YOU WOULD SPLIT THEM UP

different cages and if that dosent work then different rooms

and then calmly bring them back together

you can reward one of them to try to distract them form the other bird

that way they think seeing eachother is a reward!!!!!!

also there are to many males

so you might think about getting another female!!!!!

if you think that will help

  2. before separating them just try to give them more space likea bigger cage

  3. Try to separate them and observe.

  4. seperate cages males tend to fight and one must become dominant so u atleast need to seperate the males

  5. If you know they can't get along, your just gonna have to separate them... Birds are very vicious (No offense or anything lol) so I suggest you separate them soon...
