Question:

How do I stop my toiletries from spilling in my luggage?

Every time I travel, I open my luggage to find that my shampoos, conditioners, hair serums, suntan lotion, etc have spilled out into my luggage. I do pack all this stuff in separate bags, but I can't avoid them spilling anyway. It's not so much the cleaning up, but the fact that I lose half my shampoo in the process and have to rebuy everything that spills once I get there. Any tips for stopping this problem?

  1. Put them in a zip-lock bag

  2. Keep a separate  toilet bag for your toiletries.

You  get these bags from any bag sellers.

  3. Before you put them in the plastic bags, squeeze out most of the air, then replace the cap.

  4. Pack them in ziploc bags, so if they still spill you can pour it back in the container and it won't get all over your clothing and other items.

  5. This happens because when you travel you are at different elevations above sea level.  As your elevation gets higher, the air pressure is less.  Because you packed the stuff at a lower altitude, there is more pressure inside the bottle.  This pressure difference causes the flip tops to pop open.

You can buy little travel bottles that have caps that s***w on, with NO flip top feature.  They don't pop open, and therefore wont make a mess.
