How do I stop popup adverts?

if you have a security software and you should have ! then just follow the instuctions in that and it will ask you if you want pop ups or not

If you're getting popup ads everywhere, then check for spyware/adware.   Yahoo! Answers doesn't display pop-ups.

Alternately, change where you browse (i.e. avoid using sites that spam you with popups, as they don't deserve your business).  

Lastly, try dumping Internet Explorer and use Firefox.  It does a pretty good job, and you can get add-ons to do better.

I have an automatic pop up blocker - dont you have one? Mine is situated on my tool bar

in Internet settings you have the option to turn on or off the pop up blocker.plus when you turn  it on some websites will be restricted so to temporally turn the pop up blocker off press ctrl and alt
