How do I stop telemarket calls?

Question

I just got a new phone installed. EVERY HOUR ON THE HOUR I get a freakin sales call.. I tell them to stop calling but there mostly automated ones.

Is there anything other than switching numbers I can do to stop this c**p before I go crazy?!

caller ID. I let my 3 year old answer the phone when tele marketers call.

I've never had success.  I just got rid of my home phone.

Call your phone company. They have this thing where you can pay just a little bit to have all telemarketing calls blocked.

list your self on the nonecall list and tell them to speak with there supervisor to get you off there list to call.

I have caller ID with anonymous call rejection.  What that is, is if somebody w/ a blocked number calls me they hear a message that says "The party you are calling does not accept anonymous calls please state your name."  I then get a special ring and what I hear is somebody is trying to speak with you.  Push 1 for more info."  I hear what the party on the other end has recorded.  If I want to talk to them I can accept the call.  If I do not want to talk to them I can reject the call and the caller then hears "The party you are trying to reach does not wish to speak to you good bye".
