How do I stop the dial-up connection window from popping up at random times?

I use the Windows dial-up connection window to connect to my dial-up (there is no DSL yet where I live =( ) and I want to know how to get it to quit popping up.

  1. u said u live in remote place..i think where u live has weak signal strength..so modem asks for redialing after it looses its connection..so gurl u have to bear with it...


  2. Open up Internet Explorer and select Tools from the toolbar.  Select Internet options and then select the connections tab.  You want to click on the never dial a connection option.   This allows you to control when you want to be connected to the internet via your dial-up

  3. At Internet Options in IExplorer, go to the Connections tab and and check the option "Never dial a connection" or something like that (I use a spanish Windows). It will prevent the dialup dialog box to auto popup everytime a program requests access to internet, just when you want to connect.
