  1. Probably mains hum. Is there a mains cable near any of the speaker cables?

  2. Above all the other suggestions, and they are good ones, it sounds like you have a ground missing somewhere in your connections.  Make sure all your ground contacts are clean and tight.

  3. you can try lowering down the treble/bass.

do you have it all the way up all the time? lower it down til you can barely hear the humming and just use the volume control on your applications.

  4. You will need to get a better sound card. 5.1 channel will do the trick

  5. try moving the speakers away from your pc ( as much as the wires will let you ) , it might be a bit of feed back , failing that  you might need new speakers

  6. Keep your mobile phone away from the speakers.

Put the volume on full in the application so that you can physically turn it lower on your speakers.

  7. Try replacing the AC adapter, it may have bad filtering capacitors or a failing diode causing AC to be present on the output. It could also be a problem with the built-in amp in your speakers. Make sure the 3.5mm jack is plugged fully home into the souncard output too, or the ground will not connect.

  8. It sounds like a feed back, do you have anything electrical near them?

  9. 1. properly earth the system. check whether speaker's pin touch the cabinet of PC.

    2. try lowering the volume k**b on speaker and turn high the volume on volume control on pc., now do the reverse and check in which combination, you get the max hum.

    3. try lowering the wave volume level, sometimes that brings in distortion
