I live in Singapore, and often get beetles flying into my room whenever I open my window.

Another problem I have is due to where my room is. My room is INSIDE the kitchen, as in the door in inside the kitchen where it wasn't supposed to be (my parents made it that way). So, I always get roaches, ants, and other pests coming in in the night. It was so bad that the ants were climbing all over my bed and my desk. It disturbed me greatly. My parents don't allow me to hired professional help. I can't help it that my house in dirty and in a mess, so all I hope to do is get rid of all that is my room now, and keep them from coming in. I hear stories about ants crawling into your head through your ears and eating up the brain. It makes my hair stand. Please, HELP ME.

  1. we do not have windows where i am ,just mosquito netting in front of the window openings

    .

Have a yellow lamp outside, many bugs do not like that

and do Not have a bright white light inside

  2. get screens.

  3. The best thing for you to do is get few cats, don't feed them too much so they do their job as hunters..just keep a lot of water for them an let them be around your house outside, they will get all the bugs specially if they are hungry.

We don't have screen in our house, is completly open all the time as we live in a hot area and don't use AC.

In the night, like Byderule does, we put a light out side (LED to save energy as we run solar). Most of the bugs goes there and our cats are around ready to get them.

  4. u can buy anti-ant device , check this website : http://www.radarcan.com/en/e-antiants.ht...

and u can put wide scotch tape (face u) infront of ur room.

  5. Get several pet Jackson Chameleons.  Make sure you read up on their care and needs.  They make excellant pets.

  6. Move to outer space.

  7. Remove all dirt that could serve as food for these pests. By that I mean not just what is on a plate, but even food that is between the boards, hidden from sight.

This will take repeated effort. It helps if you can make the clean zone go beyond even the whole house, but certainly every part of the house needs to be kept swept clear.

No, this will not give you zero pests, just give them no reason to stay when they do come in.

Use of some rotenone powder in the cracks will fill the pest pores so they die quickly, but does not prevent their entry.

Use of screens over all openings of the house will reduce the number of pests entering.

Ants can be a special problem. Most often it will be necessary to remove their nests from all areas close to the house.
