How do I store DVR recordings on my computer?

The cable box (from Comcast) has a whole bunch of outputs, including HDMI, USB 2.0, A/V, S-video, etc.

How can I connect using my computer to store recorded shows?

If your computer has a tuner card, you can connect using the S or composite outputs from the DVR. This will only record in SD. There is no way to do HD, and you can't use the computer to read the DVR hard drive data, it's encrypted. These restrictions are the result of copyright protection schemes.
