Question:

How do I stream video over a wireless network - PC to Mac?

I have a PC desktop and a Mac laptop. Both connected to a wireless network with cable internet.

I have cables to connect my Mac laptop to my TV as well.

I would like to be able to view movies etc. on my laptop/TV from my PC. I have a Netflix account, but their 'Watch Now' feature is only available for PCs. Is there a way to stream video over the wireless network to my Mac?

I've tried remote access programs - like LogMeIn.com and the connection is too slow, so the video is jerky and blurred.

Any advice? Or would I be better streaming directly to my TV? I want the cheapest option possible!!!!

  1. Forget the network,  can't you output your video from the laptop to the TV?  Most modern TVs have video in for PC connections.
