  1. Jog most of the way..don't stop...You'll make it, what's your requirement? Most of the time is like 12 minutes in a P.E. class..Our boys in my school have 14 minutes..We have 12. -_-

  2. drink alot of water tonight. make sure you ahve some up beat songs to keep your pace with. Maybe have some pasta tonight too. it'll kick in. Also the MOST important thing is toPACE yourself otherwise you will burn out and you'll feel the pain.

  3. Think about it this way:  Time goes by at the exact same pace no matter what.  You can either get it done and over with faster, or you can make it take a long time and endure the pain.  Just pace yourself, it's really not a long distance.

  4. tha best advice is to not stress it.. say 2 yurself that yur gonna jus jog one lap. n then tell yurself, ok well since i finished this lap why not jog another. n from that point on jus keep pushing yurself. think of it like this.. u jus finished 2 laps, n it wuld b a disappointment 2 yurself 2 start walkn now. so keep on running. n i promise u. u will feel like a champ when u are finished..i use 2 be jus like u. n now i run 3miles everyday... FEAR IS GOOD...so jus go 4 it.. =]

  5. running is a great sport! U get to bring your ipods, so listen to an upbeat fast song to motivate u. Sometimes i listento Push it to the limit and that motivates me since it is a fast good song and u want to push yourself and every mile u run, u burn 100 calories, so just run your hardest, but don't run ur fastest and first or u'll get tired and stopand try to run the whole thing because tat will build up ur endurance. Good luck, youll do great!

  6. Pace yourself, in gym class, it's okay if you need to walk a little

  7. well I run cross country and track and what i do is

-the night before eat pasta or something that will allow to be at your best level

    - drink warm water it cause cramps less quickly

    -pace yourself

-find your 5 favorite fast paced songs and play only those songs

-train if you have time work your way up to a mile 1/4 then 1/2 then 3/4 then before you know it your at a mile

aim for a 10 minute mile:)

    good luck!!

  8. Ok.....In my school we have to run "the mile" also, so here's what I would do.  Start out with a steady pace...don't start out running fast at the beginning because you will lose your energy right away.  Also try to breathe through your nose as long as you can.  Then if your side starts to hurt.....raise your arm on the same side as your "hurting" side until it goes away. If that doesn't help then walk for a while and try to breathe through your nose again.  Drink a large glass of water TONIGHT!! Not tomorrow because your side will hurt quicker and worse.  Think about your music...not how bad your side hurts.  Trust me...you WILL make it!!  Be proud of yourself when you complete the mile...it is a hard accomplishment!  Hope I helped!!  Good luck!
