  1. The last time they switched home pages, they allowed us to return to our chosen and preferred layouts. Since that's no longer happening, I'm close to deciding to drop Yahoo...

I noticed in the posting that I'm replying to - which is now invisible :-(  - a button labeled "Report Abuse". I was *very* tempted to press that one: I consider this action to be definitely a form of abuse.

  2. The major problem I have with the new My Yahoo is that new one shows up really bad in the Window Mobile 6's IE.  They should at leat let you have an option to change the appreance so that it simulate what it looks like before.

  3. You can't and boo to yahoo for forcing this change.

  4. I answered this in a previous question. Maybe if enough people will object to the new My Yahoo, then we'll be allowed to keep the old page.

I don't like the new page either. The colors on the new page are awful. The old one was so much better. More colors, more choices. Some of my items are not in the new page that were in the old page. I don't like having to switch to something that is of no interest to me. I would like to change the modules to what I want, rather than have something I don't want. Is there somewhere we can complain to keep the old Yahoo page?

When enough people give up their Yahoo acounts, and switch over to Google, then maybe Yahoo will give them what they want.

Google has some pretty good ones.

  5. EMAIL YAHOO AND ASK THEM IF THE YCAN DO ANYTHING

  6. I reported "abuse" to Yahoo as has been suggested. Yahoo won't listen to me personally, but since this is the only way to give feedback to Yahoo and I have successfully gotten feedback to Yahoo Finance in this manner, I say use it to get someone at Yahoo to pay attention!

  8. Apparently, as of today, July 14, there is no switching back. The geniuses at Yahoo have decided what's best for us. As someone said in an answer to the same question, "It's not My Yahoo, It's THEIR Yahoo."

My only suggestion: Click on http://cm.my.yahoo.com/switch. It won't let you switch back anymore but you can then click the link "Please tell us why you're switching back". This will take you to a survey about the new and old My Yahoo.

I don't know if they will pay attention to it, but if enough people express their dissatisfaction with the new My Yahoo, they have to notice. I'm just not sure if they care.

  9. yahoo is simply uncooperative. all you can do is hit them where they live; maybe they'll get the idea.

here is a place where you can get a hosts file replacement and painless installer which will prevent the download and appearance of yahoo (and many others') advertising:

    http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.ht...

please tell your friends, and help many newbies.

in the end, i honestly hope that yahoo comes to it's senses, but in lieu of that, i suppose that it should be more humane to hasten their consumption by microsoft. . .

  10. This new yahoo is horrible. I can't get it to fit my page and don't like the content at all. I have emailed yahoo but did not get an answer. I am trying to decide whether to go to google or msn. I know I am not staying on yahoo unless it changes back.
