How do I switch off Microsoft messenger?

I never use this program, it runs all the time, every-time I run BT speed test it tells me to switch it off...how? I don't need it to run ever.

  1. google:disable microsoft messenger


  2. tools, option and under the general tab should say   "Start up with windows"  uncheck that.
